How do I authenticate a transaction on Digital Banking?
You can authenticate the following actions on Digital Banking:
- Change mobile (personal)
- Add new payee
- Pay someone new for the first time
- Increase payment limits
How to authenticate a transaction:
- After completing any of the above activities in Digital Banking, if you have registered for biometrics you will be asked to confirm the transaction using the mobile app (if you are not registered for biometrics, you will instead be prompted to use your card reader).
- Once you have clicked on 'next' you will be shown a message to say we have sent an approval request to your mobile app to confirm it is you.
- If you have push notifications enabled, you can tap the notification to access the list of pending approval requests. Otherwise, you can log into the app and select ‘approve a transaction’ on the home screen
- You should click on the request to approve or decline the transaction.
- You will be presented with the Biometric approval screen with instructions on how to confirm it is you, then press 'Put me in the frame'.
- You will then be asked to approve or decline the transaction and will then be advised that you can return to Digital Banking.
- Once done, Digital Banking will automatically update to say the transaction has been either confirmed or declined.
