How do I close my business account?

We'll help you find the best way to close your account based on the type of account you have.

Which type of account are you closing?
Do you use Digital Banking or the mobile app?

Close a Business current account

The quickest and bestway to close an account is online or on the app. 

 

If you have the mobile app: 

  

  • Log into your app 
  • Select the account you want to close 
  • Choose 'Account services'
  • Select 'Close account' 

 

If you have Digital Banking:

 

 

If you have Bankline:  

 

Visit the account servicing page on Bankline and raise a service request to “close an account”.

If you don't have Digital Banking or the mobile app

You can use our Business Account Closure Form.

 

To use this form you’ll need:

  • The full name, mobile phone number and email address for the signatories with the highest signing authority and in accordance with the signing rules on the business account mandate

 

Once you’ve submitted the form: 

  • You’ll receive an email confirming your request
  • We’ll email the form to your signatories to review and e-sign. They will be given a date of when this needs to be actioned by. It would be helpful if you could let them know this email will be coming into their inbox
  • When all signatories have signed, we’ll start processing your request.

 

Once everyone has signed we will then be able to start processing your request, this will take 3-5 working days.

To close your currency account, you can use our Business Account Closure Form.
