2. Complete your application online
Starting the application? You’ll need to tell us:
- Both your addresses for the last 3 years.
- Both your incomes and outgoings (how much you spend).
- A different mobile number and email address for each of you.
Second applicant? Here's what you need to do:
- Log in to the application when we ask you to.
- Check you’re happy, then sign your documents.
After you’ve both signed the credit agreement, we’ll do some final checks.
3. Get your cash in your account
You could get your money today – if you apply and are approved before 5:45pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.
You could borrow from £1k to £50k
It depends how much you’re borrowing and what you’re borrowing for.
- Borrowing from £1,000 to £7,450? You’ll pay us back in 1 to 5 years.
- Borrowing for a holiday? You could borrow from £1,000 to £25,000: You'll pay us back in 1 to 5 years.
- Borrowing from £7,500 and £50,000? If it’s not for home improvements: You’ll pay us back in 1 to 8 years.
- Borrowing from £7,500 to £50,000? If it’s for home improvements: You’ll pay us back in 1 to 10 years.

At the start of your application, we'll say if you could get a loan and what it could cost. It’s then up to you if you want to go ahead.
To apply for a joint loan applicants must both:
- Be 18+ and a UK resident.
- Have your own mobile number and email address.
- Have had a shared Royal Bank of Scotland current account for 3 months+. Or each had your own Royal Bank of Scotland current account for 3+ months.
- Not have been declared bankrupt in the last 6 years.
- Not have applied for a loan in the last 28 days.
