Start your application without photo ID

No photo ID? You can still start your application

You can apply for an account with us online without photo ID, but you will need to give us your original documents within 14 days. 

Once you complete your application you will be given a reference number. Make a note of this number as you'll need it when you present your original documents as the final part of your application.

You won't be able to use your account until we see your original documents and your reference number.

You can apply for either a Select or a Reward account without photo ID. 

Select account

Must be 18+ UK resident to apply.

Reward account

The one that gets your money working for you.

Daily spend + Direct Debits = Rewards.

  • Get rewarded for everyday banking.
  • Earn rewards for spending at our partner retailers with your Royal Bank debit card.
  • Every month, earn £4 back in  Rewards for paying 2 or more Direct Debits from your reward account - 2 of those Direct Debits need to be at least £2 each. 
  • All this for £2 a month.

Must be 18+, UK resident, and pay in £1,250 to an eligible Royal Bank account every month. T&Cs apply.
