Why have ATM screens changed?

Why have ATM screens changed?

ATM balances have changed in accordance with High Cost of Credit Review from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations on Available Balance. The regulation means we can no longer display a balance which is a combination of both customers own funds plus arranged overdraft funds together. These balances now have to be shown completely separate.

Why can’t I see my daily ATM withdrawal limit?

Due to regulation changes on available funds from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) we can no longer display ‘today you can withdraw £x’ on our ATMs. This is because the daily withdrawal limit could be a combination figure of both customers own funds and any arranged overdraft funds together – which we are no longer allowed to display.

Your daily cash withdrawal limit remaining has not changed and you can still withdraw up to that amount. To find out your daily ATM cash withdrawal limit please call Telephone Banking (this service uses the same security details as Digital Banking:

Why do I see 'different' balances on other providers’ ATMs?

Why do I see 'different' balances on other providers’ ATMs?

Balances on ATMs may differ dependant on if you are using a NatWest Group ATM or another providers’ ATM, such as a LINK ATM. This is because LINK rules currently accept two balances ('account ledger' balance and 'available') from card issuers in the UK.

The Available balance displayed on other providers’ ATMS is populated using Balance including pending items. Due to Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) changes you will not be able to see any arranged overdraft funds combined within the available balance.
